Previously of Focus Features International and Pathe Pictures, Thompson, who has worked with such high profile films as Brokeback Mountain, The Motorcycle Diaries and The Constant Gardener, will give an insider's perspective on the world of international film sales and the commercial realities of quality independent cinema. Fresh from working together on the MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Paper Planes, actor Terry Norris and director/writer/producer Robert Connolly explore the unique relationship and dynamics between an actor and director. Presented by MIFF Accelerator, the session explores how actors choose their roles and collaborate with directors and how directors gain the trust and openness required of the actor.
