Background

PostScript & Direct (PS&D) enables selected emerging screenwriters/directors/creatives to broaden their contact base by meeting with, and pitching to, a selection of Australia/NZ producers registered at 37ºSouth Market in order to interest them in their work and skills in a series of 20-minute one-to-one meetings. Some projects might already have producers attached, but – as a team – you may have determined that you wish to seek an experienced Executive Producer from PS&D.

Submission/Registration Conditions

This submission form is for screenwriters or directors or creatives with credits/track record in feature film, TV drama/narrative comedy, shorts, web series or TVCs/music videos.
The event will provide for each of the selected applicants to have up to eight 20-minute one-to-one meetings with producers along with a networking event.
Be aware that if you are selected, the information that you provide below will be published in a booklet and that by submitting this information you agree that it may be published.
Each registration fee is for one person who will receive one lanyard entitling them to entry to PS&D meetings, events and functions.
Extra members of the creative team are not eligible for entry to the market floor. If you wish to take your meetings with further members of your creative team, they will need to submit a separate registration form and fee.
By filling out this form you agree that you are available to participate in the PS&D diary of meetings and activities that will be organised for you on Saturday, 9 August or Sunday, 10 August.
You also agree that 37ºSouth Market may use any photos taken of you during the events.
For successful applicants, diaries for your visit will be available on or around 1 August 2025.
By submitting an application, you are agreeing to receive program and marketing updates from MIFF Industry (including MIFF 37ºSouth Market, Accelerator Lab and Premiere Fund).

Participant Benefits

If your application is successful, your registration will entitle you to a Saturday/Sunday PS&D pass, which includes:

Personal diary of one-to-one meetings with producers on Saturday or Sunday
Networking mixer lunches on Saturday and Sunday
Access to State of Play panels on Saturday and Sunday
Invite to 37ºSouth Market Closing Drinks on Sunday evening

Application Form
