Presented by MIFF Accelerator Lab with Australian Screen Editors, the art and secrets of film editing are explored in this session with Nick Meyers ASE and Julie-Anne De Ruvo who co-edited MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Undertow, which world premieres at MIFF 2018. De Ruvo’s other credits include The Beautiful Lie and Please Like Me, while Meyers’ credits include Sweet Country, The Boys and MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Balibo.

The intricacies of composing are explored with Music Victoria 2014 Best Experimental/Avant-Garde Act award winner Evelyn Morris, who co-founded advocacy group LISTEN, which seeks to increase awareness around gender politics in the music industry, and composed the score for MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Acute Misfortune.
