Providing funds to assist the production of new quality Australian films with “Stories That Need Telling” which then premiere at MIFF, films supported by the Premiere Fund have been selected for Berlin, Cannes, London, Rotterdam, Sundance and Toronto film festivals and include Balibo, Bran Nue Dae, Buoyancy, Electric Boogaloo, H is for Happiness, Paper Planes, and The Turning.
A selective event for producers to pitch their script-stage screen projects to potential financiers, the Market also includes market screenings for buyers, modules for publishers and IP owners pitching to producers their manuscripts/creative assets for potential screen adaptations, and writers pitching their screenplays to producers, plus panel discussions.
